Refund Policy
Last updated: 8 September 2026
This Refund Policy explains when and how you can get a refund for a paid APEX plan. It supplements section 6 of our Terms of Service (/terms). Paid plans are sold by Paddle as Merchant of Record, so refunds are processed through Paddle — see "How refunds work" below.
1. Paddle is the Merchant of Record
All payments for APEX are handled by Paddle.com (Paddle.com Market Ltd, or the Paddle entity for your location — Paddle.com Inc. in the United States, Paddle.com (Canada) Ltd. in Canada), which acts as the Merchant of Record and authorised reseller for every purchase. This means Paddle — not APEX — is the seller of record, issues your invoice, and actually moves the money for any refund.
You can request a refund in either of two ways: contact us at support@apexeducation.academy and we will review it and instruct Paddle, or contact Paddle directly using the link on your payment receipt or via Paddle’s buyer terms at https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. Either way, an approved refund is returned to your original payment method by Paddle.
2. Recurring subscriptions (Starter, Pro)
You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing us. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for and does not renew after that.
We do not refund the current billing period once it has been charged, except where a refund is required by mandatory consumer law in your country or is granted under Paddle’s own buyer terms — for example, Paddle may refund a charge made in error or a duplicate charge. If you were charged after cancelling, or charged twice, contact us and we will arrange a full refund of the incorrect charge.
A paid subscription includes a 7-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial; cancel before it ends and you pay nothing.
3. One-time purchase (Exam Intensive)
Exam Intensive is a single payment that unlocks full access for its stated duration (about three months) immediately after purchase. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
You may request a refund of Exam Intensive within 7 days of purchase, provided you have used only a small part of the included AI usage — specifically, less than 10% of the plan’s total token allowance for the access period. The allowance is shown in the app; for Exam Intensive it is currently about 3,871,000 tokens, so the threshold is roughly 387,000 tokens. This reflects the fact that the value of the plan is delivered mainly through AI usage, which cannot be returned.
If more than 10% of the allowance has been used, or more than 7 days have passed, a refund is handled case by case — contact us and we will look at your situation in good faith. Nothing here overrides a refund you are entitled to by law.
4. How to request a refund
- Email support@apexeducation.academy from the address on your account. Tell us which plan, the approximate purchase date, and the reason.
- Or use the "Manage payment" / receipt link Paddle emailed you, or Paddle’s buyer help, to request it directly from Paddle.
- We aim to respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method and can take a few additional days to appear, depending on your bank.
5. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy or in our Terms of Service limits or removes any right you have under the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country or region — for example a statutory cooling-off or withdrawal right for digital purchases. Where such a law gives you a stronger right than this policy, that law applies.
